A computer generated composition on the theme of hair and DNA, with some ideas of flow, waviness, regularity, sublayers, blue-prints, skyscapes, op-art, the spiritual and a hint of a nautical Portsmouth. ~James
Details of the exhibition launch event will be posted here shortly after 16th December 2013. ~James
I've decided to put together my own sketch book, further to the post of 04/11/13. I've put the following constraints on it:
"The purpose of this ‘sketch book’ is to provide a random summary of the interests of an individual, me, that begin to point towards a self-portrait. Statements begin with the word ‘I’ and are usually followed by ‘like’ or ‘love’. Obvious statements, such as ‘I like world peace’ and ‘I love my family’ have not been included. Dislikes and negative statements have also been omitted. The artwork and photographs are my own and have been mostly produced during the RMS project period and inspired by the subject matter. The book itself was compiled within one week from the materials, without much attention being paid to page layout. James Smith, December 2013" Looking forward to visiting the TAG Group on Monday 16th December. ~James
The TAG group and other members of the team are invited to contribute to preparing their own sketch books. This idea is based upon an international sketchbook project that gets people to buy a sketch book and fill it, then return it for an online diary/travelling exhibition. ~Jacqui L
An update and plan for the next few weeks, shared with the TAG group today, is copied below. ~Jacqui L
We are currently in the process of organising the launch event for the first exhibition. More details to follow soon.... ~James
